Lyric Tools™ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Lyric Tools™ application and associated services.

By using Lyric Tools™, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

1. Google Account Information

When you install or use the Lyric Tools™ ("App") within Google docs, we do not collect, store, or access your email address or any personally identifiable information associated with your Google account. The only account-related data accessed is your locale setting (language and region), used solely to tailor the App’s interface. This information is retrieved via Google’s authorized Apps Script services and is not stored or shared externally.

We can not and do not store or share your Google drive files, contents, or personal documents..

We use the Google documents scope to access lyric templates and certain information docs stored on our Google Drive. We do not obtain and retain any user content and we do not use user data to train, improve, or develop our App or any generalized AI or ML models.

2. Payment Information

If you purchase a paid version of Lyric Tools™ or subscribe to premium features, payment processing is handled securely by third-party services such as Stripe, PayPal, or Gumroad.

We do not collect or store your credit card information directly.
Payment processors may collect billing information (such as your name, email address, and payment method) to complete the transaction.
Payment information is subject to the privacy policies of the respective payment provider.

3. Customer Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may collect your name, email address, and message contents solely for responding to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

We use any information we may collect (which you choose to provide to us voluntarily via our feedback forms only— not via the App) for the following purposes:

To provide user support and communicate updates or information about Lyric Tools™, however, we do not use, transfer, or sell user data for purposes unrelated to the App’s core functionality
If a paid subscription, to process payments and deliver access to paid features (handled by third-party payment processors).
We do not use your data to train or improve our App or for any AI training or model improvement.
The App only uses user data to generate a response for a specific user, and that data is discarded as soon as the user closes the sidebar.
Our App use and transfer of data received from Google Workspace APIs to any other App adheres to the Google API Service User Data Policy including its Limited Use Requirements.
Our App use of photos (if any) adheres to the Limited use of user data requirement of the Photos API User Data and Developer Policy (For Photos APIs.)

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information
We do not share your Google Docs or Drive contents with any external party..
Payment information, if any is processed directly by trusted third-party services (Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad) under their own terms and policies.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Document Creation and Templates

The App includes two specific Google docs (1 - column lyric template and 2 - column lyric template) that are created and owned by the developer and are an integral part of the App’s core functionality. These function as templates to define the standardized document structure required for the App’s lyric-formatting features (e.g., column layout, headers, and placeholder fields). The templates are accessed by users via the Google Picker API and copied into the user’s Google Drive. The newly created document becomes fully owned and controlled by the user. The App does not ever have or retain access to the copied file. As initiated by the user, the App can create new docs from the user templates (copy them) and open, see, and edit, but not delete, such created documents.

Your Rights

You may:

Revoke Lyric Tools’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google account security settings.
Contact us to request information about your data or request deletion of any support communication records.

Our services may include links to third-party websites or payment processors.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
